Went to Cal Park today. Marked a few fish out in the shipping channel. Had some bites but that's it. Didn't mess with them long. Pretty much spent the day messing with my new electronics. One smallie on a tube. It was a beautiful day out there.

I know you said you like the shiners but I got about 6 dozen crappie minnows that are gonna be tossed unless you want em. Right inside the garage door if you want em. Good luck tomorrow. I had a week off and pizzed it away, now it's back to 6-10's

Kept 21 big ones today. Largest fish on average that I have seen caught in the past 5 times out 40 feet deep.

Hell yeah, great job. I saw 5 or 6 boats in the area of that big dredger thing. Were you one of them?

Congrats Al, nice job.
40ft is good. I may try sunday late morning if my fish fry doesn't go to late
and I drink to much lol.

Were there bigger schools or hit and wait deal.

Thanks

The best bet I found was just anchor and wait. You will mark a few here and there but, they are hugging the bottom so close that the ones that bite aren't even showing up on the screen. If I don't work Friday I will be out there again. Same place just out in front of condos in about 40 fow. If you don't get any takers after 15-20 minutes move 2 feet deeper or shallower and repeat till they come thru and u get sum. Once you get a few I usually just stay put especially if the size is good.

Is that a black Lund, or the red one? I have noticed 2 different Lund's there my times out. Like u say there are a handful of guys out there that are out there most every day.
