Huge Northern Pike! Must See!

A buddy from the DNR just emailed me a pic of a Pike supposedly caught in Rainy Lake MN. 54 inches and 44 pounds. Unreal!

Holy Pike   Pikeguy :) That thing is a monster, do you know if its a state record? Defiantly looks like rainy lake i see he has is raincoat on and it looks like its about to pour  :rotflol:

WOWOWOWOWOW...doesnt matter where that came from..thats a helluva fish...the shorline looks pretty barren for rainy lake...but oh well like i said..doesnt matter.GEEZE thats huge for a pike..

rainy lake is on the border as well..its possible that it was caught on the canadian side..thus no new state record..

Can you imagine what he was thinking when we seen that thing ?  I'll bet he shat his drawers !
Time to have a replica made but where the heck would you hang a fish that big ?

From what I could find a replica of that size in MN would cost about $680.00  but what a prize !
That's a once in a lifetime fish how could you not want a mount even at over $ 700.00 with taxes .
I know that kind of cash would buy a lot of pictures but it wouldn't be the same .

Just found state record info on pike !

The record is 45lbs 12 oz  caught on basswood lake May 16 1929 !
Poor guy was only 1pound 12 ounces away from a 77 year old record .
Still what a rush catching a beauty like that !!
