wind and rain ?
« on: Oct 03, 2011, 06:31 AM »
is the weather ever going to get better so I can get out fishing ? Its been raining and high winds for so many days now, I am starting to get with drawl systoms. Going to some tackle shops today just to look around and see what I can buy that I don't really need.
We'll see ya on the water !

I feel your pain...I haven't been out in 2 weeks...and stupidly went out in the cold, rain and wind last night.  All I caught was a cold.

Don't feel bad, my fishing season ended Sept 30!  >:(

buy a rainsuit, we fished all weekend in the stuff and slammed the fish, and no one else was out, we had the local waters to ourselves.

when there are small craft warnings and the waves are crashing over the break wall, its not as much fun.

shore fishing rocks when its like that...but I was out in my boat for part of the day, braving the big waves, catching up some walleyes (they like that kind of weather)...spent the other part of the day fishing stream trout...and that wasn't too bad neither ;D

rising stream water usually is a good time to fish with a streamer or wooly bugger. Got 5 nice browns to 13 inches yesterday and not a drop of rain  while doing it. Three days earlier got 4  and got wet.
