When does Cold Lake have open water?

I realize it changes from year to year, but on average when does the ice come off of Cold lake?

I try to make it out there every year opening day for lakers and at best the ice is touch and go. last year could only make it out about a mile from the launch in long bay. most of the lake was ice covered. Still managed 3 lakers, but talk about cold trolling next to an ice flow!
