Perch Fishing on Lake Mary Ronan
« on: Jan 13, 2006, 10:07 AM »
Went to get dem perch last Sat. & Sun. at Lake Mary Ronan off Big Arm on Flathead Lake.  Fished in about 20 feet of water and was successful both days with maggots tipped on a small (#14) water boatsman below an attractor spoon.  I caught about 20 both days-the keepers were 8 1/2" to a few 11".   Caught two kokanee salmon (12") that really gave a nice fight.  There is about 9" of good ice.  Just ordered a Lowrance X67c from Calelas as the old Vexilar just didn't have the color that the new Vexs do.  I'm anxious to give it a try to see how it compares to my Vexilar.  Stay on top, Keith
