Did well the first day 2 guys in the boat and we put about 25 fish in the boat.   I came home with three keepers, biggest being about 4.5 or so.   I also went last night after work for a few hours and caught a nice 5.5, and a few smallmouth around three pounds.   There are some real nice Eyes being caught right now, I have seen one pushing 9 pounds and alot around 6 and 7.   I got most of mine on a orange or chart/white I also did well on some custom jigs that I made in a nice watermelon/black pepper paint job.   I poured them with Gamakatsu light wire hooks so I seemed to get a real good hookset with alot fewer fish coming unhooked.   Custom might be the name of the game this year, something new that has not been seen.   But as always the tried and true green, orange, chart colors seemed to be working.   Enjoy the fishin' guys
