Title: The local
Post by: rivereddy on Sep 09, 2022, 08:03 AM
Well the water is low, but has been stable for a number of days.  The smallies have responded and gave me a couple nice afternoons
of surface action.  The tiny torpedo got a good work out as several of the smallies were of good size.  There's nothing quite like
the blow up hit of an aggressive fish. One minor glitch occurred when a good fish came unbuttoned after what I thought was a good
hook up.  I reeled in my lure and saw that the forward hook was missing. The treble had unscrewed itself and come loose.

On local #2... Like for many, this has been an odd summer.  Weather aside, a lot of family stuff conspired to keep me off the water.
Yesterday, I put my boat in the water for the first time.  Every thing worked!  We ran over to Eagle Creek and took a troll around the
lake.  We never found the stripes, but did get several yellow bass and a couple of nice crappies.

fish on,
