Wondering if any regulars fish the Mohawk? I am wondering if any others notice a decline in Pike? Have not caught one in like 3 years. Used to get them a bit but have not seen any lately and I hear the same from other anglers as well.

I have had the same experience. I think 3 the past few years total.
-
What part of the Mohawk are we speaking about , between locks,??
-
I fish between lock 7 and Lock 8

I wonder if DEC has any reports or documentation that shows the population of Pike and if it is going down? Really would like to know if there is a problem or just my experience . Anyone aware of something I can refer to?

Fished it bit. Haven't caught a pike. Plenty of smallies and a few eyes.

I catch more eyes than smallies. Mostly trolling. Catch some small smallies by the bridges.

Smallies were super concentrated on a seasonal pattern that sometimes happens and sometimes doesnt.
