I did score a 9 in beers and a 7 in lost balls. Hmmmm, I wonder if there is a correlation??
59!!!!!
Should mention it was on Tiger Woods 06 while watching the snow fall. ;D ;D
Our ground's crew is arifying our green's this week so I have a feeling my low round isn't gonna happen for a while :'(
Jim
My low round is a legit 84. I'm working on better but I need to start playing more to do it, a lot more. I got out yesterday evening and got in 7 holes after work for the first time this year. Some good shots and some well, big high hooks too. :o :o I'm heading out here in just a few to do it again. :thumbup_smilie:
What the heck, one more night can't hurt can it?
Jim
How'd it go?
How'd it go?
Not good :cursing: :cursing: :cursing: Heading to the driving range tonight for sure. ;D
It sounds like you guys just go out and stumble around chasing a little white ball.
What exactly am I missing, J?
It sounds like you guys just go out and stumble around chasing a little white ball.

You just stick to the thing your best at(BSing) Sound's like you can't be beat at thatI'll try very hard not to take that personally.
YOU GUYS GOING OUT AND HITTING SOME 83'S AND SEVRAL EAGLES WHAT ARE YOU DOING FISHING YOU SHOULD GET YOU PGA CARD.
Most guys would be happy with a round of boygies.
Lets see par of 68-70 plus 18 extra strokes your shooting a 86-88 thats pretty good golf!I smell a MFF tourney brewing, would love to see the score cards and the pile of empties;D ;D
They would both probably be high!
OH MY GOD, did you say the "S" word Pike? Please don't ever say that word again on a golfing thread :w00t: The only place that word belong's is about 6" below a pig's a$$ :rotflol:
Jim
I just went out on Saturday....shot a 46 the front 9, took a two hour break at the turn, and shot a 64 on the back 9...LOL, funny how a few pitchers of beer will shake a round of golf. Thats a 110 for those w/o a calculator.
Tou card my arse. I still shot 88! :'( lol 38 on the front and 48 on the back. Should have been good, but I got the shanks out of no-where on our #1 hardest hole, made a 9 and things went downhill. lol. Shanks suck! >:( I'm an 11 handicap and 88 doesn't cut it ;D
I've been fortunate to play many different courses all over the country. It's tough to go low when you only see the course once but mine is a 78 at True Blue (S.C.) from the tips (almost 6,900) before it was dumbed down. What's better in life then fishing and golf?
Dying to get out to do both, golf and Fish this lovely memorial day weekend!
Yeah I have three boys and they are 2 4year old and one four month, golf is low on the priority list!
Enjoy the scramble Buckski - I have an 11:39am Sat. at a track South of my house called Keith Hills.
Hopefully the doubles :P or worse - will stay off my score card.
Lindz
d**n doubles..I played 27 last Sunday with NOT ONE DOUBLE and shot 39-40-39....then Wed night I had a couple crappy holes and a few doubles and boom...87 >:( Doubles kill >:( ;)
Agreed PG.
Well done with the 27 bogey free - thats fun golf ;D
I think the worst thing is compounded mistakes :-\ Hit a poor tee ball on a 4 par, then get back for an 3rd shot approch to play for bogey - and miss the approch :-\
even worse - then chipping on in 4 and three jacking :cursing:
Of course I could be facing that tommorow morning :P
Played at rothlands in WNY in a scambble, out group shot a -9 to tie for the win(think it was a 61). We dropped some long puts 30-40 feet. Had two superintendents that played with us, some young players with game. Boy did we drink some beverages!!!
I shot first and put the new cleveland out 230-260 straignt as an arrow 90% of the time, had a chili dipper go into the next zip code (far right). All in all a excellent time!
Charity event we made 1200 for MS, got a $50 bar tab and the teams name on a trophy for the bar and bragging rights. We came in second the last two years to a mystery team. Never seen one guy from it? So we had to ask for the cards after we came in second with a -9. Seems there was a tie, the bar owner is a good guy but always screws around, NOT FUNNY!
Higher powers have yet again spared Lindz from the Rattletrap :P
Pikeguy - is it fishing or golf this weekend :)
Going to have to say Beer drinking and fishing. Doc says no golf for a while.. Tenosynovitis in my arm :-\ Oh well. gotta rest up for the Calcutta tourney in 2 weeks!
Hope that does not persist for long - you could though use it to your advantage Fri. night it that's still on :-*
Don't over do it though ;D
my low round this year is 14 beers
You scared me for a second there when I saw that you replied, BB.
I actually thought you may play golf!
I think mine is 8.
:rotflol:
I just shot my best for 9 holes this year in the pouring rain. I shot a 43 and beat my partner for the 2nd time ever.( my dad who plays 4-5 times a week) :flex:
Well it looks like Michelle Wie is finding it tough going at the TPC Deer Run track 8)
+5 through 11 ;D
Hey Lindz, take a guess who just got cable TV installed at his insurance agency and who's watching the live coverage right now on USA ;) Did I mention how much I love owning my own business :w00t:
Well you suck :-*
well on the knock-down baord she is still 5 thru 14.
I have to question her bringing 66 tomorrow - to make the cut - and that's providing she can post 76 ;)
Well "we" will be following "Wie" for sure ;D She's starting to look sexy too. Not like my girl Morgan Pressel or anything but she ain't bad ;)
Holy Cow, David Duval is EVEN par :o :o
Excellent. Live coverage starts at 4 and I'll be firing up the 20" flatty to catch the action ;D
:rotflol: :rotflol: I'll be playing ;D
League action tonight ? what time is Tee Time ;D
Nope, league is Wed., just gonna sneak in nine with the old man. Factory is workin 6-2:30 so I'm leavin when they do! ;D
Cool, I'd play nine tonight but we have some company coming for dinner :cursing: :cursing: That means I just have to do a little grilling and a whole lot of drinking ;D
Mmm drinkin.
Did I hear someone say Drink?? Not something I am at all familar with but it sounds like fun 8)
Okay I finally got out for some golf last night with my girlfriend, my 5th time this season. I had an AWESOME round for 9 on a par 37 with a 3 over par 40. ;D Had a great ballstriking round combined with some awesome putting. Changed my grip from an interlock to an overlap yesterday and what a difference that made. I have played an interlock grip for 20 years and have always considered the change and I'm glad I did. ;) Can't wait to go again.
Problem is my new Lund will be here in a week and then it's going to be hard to want to play golf when that's in my garage but I'll find time for both. ;)
I'm having the same type of trouble...except it's a girl instead of a Lund ;) ;D
:P Yeah, I know what you mean. I have this one particular very attractive young girl as a customer who seems to have lots and lots of insurance questions for me and keeps finding reasons to visit me at the office. :nono: I'm trying to be an  and not a !! My girlfriend would kill me :cursing: :cursing: The problem in life is, you have to at some point, PICK ONE and only one :-\
Wow - wonder if anyone will face this rather easy bunker type shot upon teeing off the 4th at the Royal Liverpool ;D

After reading this I've decided that Pikeguy needs to go pro. If you can shoot 2 under you can make the cut.
My best and only time out this year was an 83. I used to be big time into golf but its so d**n expensive anymore I don't play very often. Usually just with guys at work.
I had the worst when I went out this year. On a par 5 in 2 and I'm thinking eagle. I stuck it within 8 feet with my 5 wood. Then I freakin 4 putted. from 8 feet!!!!!
So I went from potential eagle to bogey. I was so upset. I could have thrown my putter into the woods.
Everytime I think I can drive a short par 4 I end up in some kind of hazard.
This local course has a par 4 281 that I can drive about half the time. Only problem is there is a river about 260 out.
the river is only 12 feet wide but I always seem to land in it.
But do I ever play it conservative and hit my 3 or 5? Hell no. ;D
Anybody paying you to stay out of the river? If not then why would you hit anything but Driver? ??? ;D ;D
Are you guys speaking Portuguese, or just being gay as always?
well I just got a suprise call from my uncle who needs me to sub tonight. It will be the first time ever on this course. Well see if I can hit em straight.
It is always sweet playing a new track - no matter what kind of cow pasture it may be :tipup:Supposed to be short and tight ..............oh boy............that fits right into my game........NOT

22 @ Putt-Putt on Erie Blvd. in Syracuse.
Funny you guys mention putt-putt I was just talking to a co worker about when I was younger, I remember seeing professional putt-putt on TV. These guys were crazy good. They'd bounce the ball of the rail Thru the clowns mouth down the shoot over the bridge.....you get the idea....and in the hole. most of the time they'd get a hole in one but never a three. Anyone ever see putt putt on TV before?Yes I remember seeing putt-putt on TV back in the early 70's but Kelso wasn't playing. ;D
I remember seeing professional putt-putt on TV. These guys were crazy good.
I went down to a 9.4 index (10 home course) Don't these people know I'm not that good.
I only made 1 par on the front (36) with 6 birdies and 2 bogies for a smooth 32. I ended up finishing the match after 15 holes so I didn't finish the round but was 2 under with 3 holes to play.
Jim
Thanks Lindz, my all time low is a 68 so thats why I didn't bother finishing the round. I guess I could have had a chance at that but there was something a little more appealing waiting for us at the 19th ;)
Jim
Sweet round Jim.... makes me feel like I should be golfing in the special olympics shooting my measly 74's. lol ;)I don't know anyone that considers a 74 measly. I would love to have that every time i went.

Jim
ME TOO!!!!!
You might want to double bag all that sand your carrying PG. ;D
I'd be bagging the wrong way... I don't post my higher scores from when I drink too much...but ALWAYS post my good ones
This guy that always played with my father would do the opposite - after a good round my dad would say "let me put that in for you Bill" and the guy would say "oh no Ray, I can take care of it".
It still make me laugh thinking about it - funny to me anyway ;D
Well I'm locked and loaded for a 2:00pm Sunday Tee Time at Tobacco Road. I have not touched the sticks since July 4th, but I am feeling it - or at least I think I am.
bagged Lindz at the last minute.did he double bag you? ;)
did he double bag you? ;)
well I had my year end league outing sunday. It was a 4 team 2 man best ball format. I shot a 43 on the front which is my second best score for 9 this year then followed it up with a 53 :pinch:. Thanks to a strong front side we ended up at 13 under. We had a four way tie for first and pocketed $60 for each team member. OH yeah I also won a new golf bag as a door prize. ;)
Cool...congratsThanks PG Im done golfing for the year now. the clubs are retired in the garage. What happened to your avatar?
I had a couple tourneys this weekend. Played like nuts >:( ..Got drunk though so it was all good ;D
