Just like the tires on your vehicle, if the waders are rubber they are susceptible to dry rot when left stored for periods of time so I use a spray bottle of armor all or some other rubber protectant, and apply it to all the rubber before storing them. Trick is to keep air and sunlight (unless they need drying) away from them so put them in a black plastic bag and seal it after treating them and try to store them in 50 to 70 degree temps.
