My best was a 19.5 inch fish that was barely 3 pounds, caught ice fishing in MA about 30 years ago!  -Jim

Yeah- I think I found them this past winter:

19 and 16.5"

I know of a state fish hatchery right now, that cannot stock its brook trout brood stock out because they'd break the state record if caught  :laugh:      Id say a few of them go about 5 + pounds.

My biggest was a 20" stockie,Sorry no pics!

Has anyone ever seen the ARCTIC CHAR,they look exactly like a Brookie???????

Arctic Char look nothing like brookies. Go ask the boys on the Alaska board. Arctic Char might even be prettier than brookies.

I dunno PG, to some these two could look like Giant Brookies in full spawning color



same with this fish



We used to raise them at college, and when you got them in a tank together, the only good way to tell the difference was the vermiculations on the brookies.
