those poor pats!!!!!!!!!!! no mercy last season when they pounded the lesser teams instead of giving their backups playing time. when you are a qb on an all star team with great receivers and o line like they have, even a weak qb will look good. who won the goal for every team in the nfl? the ny giants, i rest my case.

Culpepper already put in his retirement papers and is far too beat up to play a game.

In my opinion they should stick with Cassel.  They have a bye week the fourth week.  I think worst case, they'll be 2 and 1  by the time the bye comes around and they'll have time to dig through some applications and weigh their options.

The real concern is if Cassel gets hurt.  Then we would have rookie QB Kevin O'Connell leading the Pats.  I think they should stick with Cassel in the starting position but find a veteran QB for the secondary.

It's funny though... as a Boston sports fan I'm not used to things going well.  So when everything seemed to be coming up roses, I lost a little interest.  With Brady hurt, I actually have more of a reason to watch believe it or not.  Not that I like him being hurt, it just makes the season very interesting.

It sucks, but it could make for an interesting season... a looong one, but interesting. Hey, no one knew who Brady was when he backed up Bledsoe, maybe one of these guys is a diamond in the rough???
Either way, I won't miss a game this season either!

GO PATS!!!!!
