If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

I bumped into this video looking for caterpillar patterns.

A must watch if you're thinking of starting to tie flies.

I wonder if she gives lessons. Very nice job. More kids should get involved.

My pair of stream rods are all ready to go.

I built them on 6'6", 2wt IM6 blanks. The flyrod has REC Recoil guides, Strubel Seat.
and a Flor grade half wells. I found a nice little Bauer Jr Mac to pair up with it.

The spinner has Fuji Alconite guides and grip and a Pfleuger President.

Can't wait to christen them.

Wow RG...   That is sweet....  Seems the older I get the less patients I have to do things like that....  Headed of to Gander now before my sons soccer game to burn up a gift card on a median heavy 7 1/2ft bass rod for topwater...

nice job on the rods rg i too have a rod built on the 6'6" batson rx6 blank. any ways this one is a mud hole custom builder blank.  i would not recomend any more they got rid of the life time warranty. any ways they are fast action and handle real light line and jigs. btw this little guy took a glo in the dark jig at the end of last season that why it dark in the photo.

I've found a few videos of kids tying flies. They're all great to watch.

Anyhoo...I have been tying. I'm working on some ideas for a caterpillars.

on "bob's" and "the thing", I really like the leg formation rgfixit. Are you some how melting or burning them to acheive the browning at the tips?

Yup. Ultra chenille...burn the tips. It's wise to use a forceps or something to hold the piece. It will catch fire pretty easily.

Fun stuff.
