Tie tricos, you won't need much material! :) :) :)

Just need 2 pair of glasses…at my age anyway.
If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

I can only handle a size 22 trico with my 4 eyes! It's seeing on the water that is sometimes a problem. :( :(

I've been doing some research for an upcoming trip and all the local shops have a "Thin Mint" as a go-to fly in the waters I plan to fish.  Had no idea what a Thin Mint was so I Googled it and it turns out that it's a Wooly Bugger variation, tied with three colors of marabou, and a peacock herl body. Being a fan of both peacock herl and buggers, I had to tie some. Here's one from my vise:

Here's the You Tube video I found. Only changes I made was using a size 4 hook and substituted copper Flashabou for pearl.

Bet it would work wonders under a float with a little piece of worm for gills..

Went to the Orvis Flagship store In Manchester Vt today. While I was outside my wife got me a fly tying kit. Can’t wait to start.
