Got planted last weekend, I'll add some pics later but we took a year off due to pests and blight. After some research we decided to do a big burn right over the garden and till in the ashes, along with some Manure and Humus. 90 % planted just have to get some Zuchinni and the peas&beans in. Also Mom got me a new Cherry tree to replace the one the Jap. Beetles killed on me last summer. Don't worry, I chipped up the wood and smoked a nice free range Turkey  ;D ;D

Yup
Planted 3 weeks ago
Played heck covering plants these last 2 cold spells.
2 beefsteak tomato plants look a little ruff but might make it.
Wife is gonna pull them and plant 2 new ones if they don't look better by the weekend.
Raised bed
12 x 24 foot
Used 2 x 10's
I got a picture over on FB
If I get up the energy I'll copy/past to photobucket and get a pic of it here.

Finally got this onto photobucket

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Yup Bob.

In spite of the effort, she still lost 1 tomato and 1 pepper plant.

Freeze warning for the tip of the mitt.

Tomatoes and peppers ??? I thought you were propagating plastic beer cups ;D

That was a hard frost. I lost 2 plants is all. I'm guessing we'll still have some to eat. Gonna do a few raised beds next year. I want a strawberry patch too.

Next year.

For me - it's not worth the time, $ and the effort.
But she enjoys it.

I would rather go to the farmer's market and buy what I want, when I want it.

Happy wife......happy life.

I could garden till I drop. I love growing stuff. I've always had house plants ( most of them legal ::)).

Something about having greenery around that soothes the spirit.
