Very nice work, as usual, RG. My wife really likes the mortar and pestles.  ;D
One more with the one we're after and we'll have two.

Thanks guys.

I'm taking orders for Christmas. ;) Already sold a couple.

I've been commissioned by my neighbor to make a cell phone holder for his Corvette. He brought me a chunk of cherry and maple he glued up and told me to " get creative". He's a good old boy who works in a cabinet shop. Does some fine cabinet work.

Crappy weather means I'll be turning today👍

Thought the same thing.
Wanted to turn OVER, and grab a few more.
But had to go to work.
So I got out of bed.

Nice work and cool tool Rg. Is your tailstock hollow to drill for lamp cords?

If you had a few blanks, say, 3-4" in diameter and 10-12" long, I'd be happy to pay for them. I'm always looking for turning stock.

I will see what I can do. The trees are still standing and have been dead quite a while as the bark is off of them.  With bow season on and deer beading in the pine near by it might be a while. Fire arms season the middle of Nov and also makes it difficult right now.

Talking blanks are you talking limbs or cut from a log?

Certainly no hurry. It'll be a year or two before I'd attempt to turn anything. Limbs are best. Size is the only concern.

That they are Bill. Ornaments for my Bride's tree. I'm making some for gifts as well. Really fun to turn and there's a hundred different ways to turn them.

I'm picking up a benchtop band Saw tomorrow. One I've been looking for a deal on for a while now.

Found one on CL for $100 that appears to be new with 4 new blades. Perfect for the basement shop. Great reviews as well.
