Started my deer blind. I'm looking forward to the final steps going to be a comfortable deer season

Looks like the Taj Mahal of deer blinds.

I had a 4x5' enclosed tree stand I built on the farm I used to hunt. It was very comfortable. Too comfortable sometimes. I fell asleep many times in that stand.

Took quite a few deer there as well.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Looks awesome. Is it going to be an elevated stand?

You are building it in your shop.
Then obviously moving it someplace, unless you have a resident herd of deer in your garage.
Sooo……...what's the plan?
As someone else said, elevated?
If so, how will get it up in the air?
Come on, we are locked in quarantine and need some reading fodder.
 ;D

BTW, nice job so far.

I'll send you some fodder in the mail!

Why are you quarantined?

I'm building it in my shop and then moving it to my buddy's property where i hunt. The plan is to winch it up onto my car hauler, and my buddy has a skid steer with forks to get it out back. i plan on making a 6 foot platform to put it on. It will be overlooking a food plot with woods beyond that. It's located in Niagara county. It's tough to pattern the deer because of all the agriculture, but some beauties are taken every year. I've always wanted to build something like this. It's 6 x 8 and 7 ft. in the front and 6' 6" in the back. Plenty of windows and I'm going to install some drop down shelves in it too for gear, coffee cup, etc. My buddy heater will be going in for the bitter days and I have the cooking rack on it from iceshanty for heating up food. I enjoy being comfortable and often bring my camera with me. I'm one of those guys that getting a deer is great, but I truly love being in the outdoors.  I'll have an extra chair if someone wants to come in and my buddy has a couple of young and hopefully upcoming sportspeople, We all know we need to encourage them , Not much better than a big, warm, comfortable hut. I hope everyone is safe and healthy.

Mac, I hope this gave you some reading      8)

This Cardinal was just outside my blind last year eating wild grapes.  I also get a  red fox every year with a half black tail.

Deer blind is coming along. I made the windows to swing out to block rain and snow.  Inside is insulated and I'm going to paint the inside black. A couple shelves and tables and then the roof
