Not exactly but kind of.  Everything I threw was a couple inches max.  First was sandeel and they didnt touch it.  Then the fly I had was an umqua peanut bunker.  Dead ringer that got smoked and its what I broke off on.  Then I went old school with the clouser.  Lots of fun.  I will get back out there for the albies.

I see " O Albies" did you get into them as well Jon? Word on the street is you cannot get away from them this season but this storm may change everything. Unlike a pond where the fish stay in that body of water regardless of weather, the ocean is a beast and the fish do their own thing. My opinion is goodbye mr albie for at least a week or 2 if not for the season. However, if that storm stays off we should be ok.

I missed them entirely...they will stick around and I only say that because theres a ton of them all the way in the western sound.  Ive caught them late october tog fishing.

Speaking of Mike or anyone....if someone knows someone with a commercial tog license they want to sell I am all over it!  I can only get restricted license in CT where you can only take 3 tog.  Which makes it worthless.  Mass, RI, CT, NY you need a license holder to transfer it to you.

Thanks Jim!  My normal program was interrupted last night by big brown.  Not the best pic.

Nice problem to have!  Great fish.
It is understood that fishing licenses, gas, bait, etc., all cost money, but try not to let a limit of trout be your only gauge for success. Ė Ben Nugent, (NH F&G) Regional Fisheries Biologist
