You would think after 50 years you would have her trained! Have a Happy Anniversary! I thought about going today but it might be too windy. Maybe Monday or Tuesday...h2l

Thanks for the anniversary wishes Doug. She's been a tough one to train, maybe I could get some pointers from you lol. She's a wonderful woman to put up with me for fifty years. See you out there when the tiger lilies bloom.

Came across a spot that i had to turn around and go back and check.  Had to be 40 fish stacked up.  Jigged up 3 shorts and moved on.

Well I almost got skunked! 1 short walleye, 5 SMB (they are moving deeper!, 6 perch and 1 rock bass. I spend over 2 hours on a lot of fish, mid lake off an underwater sand bar. 36 fow, just off the top of the sand bar that tops out about 20 fow. I could not get a hit. That spot has produced a lot of walleyes in the past. Find it better when they are up on top. Water temp 69*...h2l

Does anyone have an opinion about launching a canoe from Northampton Beach campground and finding some productive water? We are camping there third week of August.

To me, it’s still fishing but I look forward to any thoughts of those who fish it frequently.

ATC, just South of the campsite there is a group of islands. Off those islands can be pretty good but keep in mind that the water levels are always changing and August is a long way away. Has you get closer to your trip, hit me up and I will provide an update...h2l

After I had posted yesterdays report, my cousin called me. He was also out yeaterday also said he marked a lot of fish. He is a troller so covered a lot of water. He did boat 6 walleyes but only 2 were over 15". (spinners) Based on what I saw and what he said, I would have to believe they are starting to bunch up. Looking at some of my old "logs" my first fishing vacation was always the last full week of June. Usually caught a lot of walleyes, I was a Lindy Rig fisherman in those days. That was before lake maps, GPS, etc. I would put markers out about 200 yards apart along the old river bed and back troll looking for "hot" spots. There are a lot of slip sinkers out there.  If I found  something that looked good I would log, draw a map. Many of those spots are still producing. Today I can go to many of them by just looking at my Helix. I have only 6 way points saved....h2l

Thanks H2L. Appreciate the information. Spent 6 hours in a canoe pan fishing a small ADK lake, beautiful day, lots of dinks but was a blast. But my body doesn’t like canoes, so I may have to go a different route in august.

Tight lines everyone!
