Fermenting and pickling
« on: Oct 24, 2021, 11:19 PM »

I thought the fermenting and pickling members would like to see these . My son made these on his 3-D printer, they are a burping lid for canning jar.. He made me some for regular and wide mouth jars. The white piece is a spacer for between the lid and pushes the pickling items under the brine. They have a small vent in the middle to release the fermenting gasses. Hopefully going to try them tomorrow making sauerkraut

That’s pretty cool. Those machines are amazing.
If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

interesting.
I use 5 gallon food grade buckets.
I have a 5 gallon pickel crock but seldon use it these days.
The buckets have lids, handles, and are far lighter.
