You’ve got to have those do nothing kind of days once in awhile to keep your sanity  ;)

Glad Donna is doing well.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Thanks guys.
I have passed on your well wishes to Donna.
Next Monday we go back for her staples and stiches to be removed.

I got a good call from Geico on the motorhome yesterday.
They have agreed to lower the $10,000 deductible to $1000.
Not the $500 that it actually was, but a far easier pill to swallow.
Now to wait until the adjuster contacts me in a couple days to see what the final payout will be.
I'm still going to lose my shirt on this thing, but we'll see what happens.
Baby steps.

Well last least that's an improvement!

Yup

Just got off the phone with the adjuster.
His number was better than I feared, but still $15k below what we had invested into the motorhome.

So I started horse trading with him.

I sent him all my receipts.
Which totaled over $18k.
He called me back to say they cannot do anything about the labor in those receipts as it doesn’t increase the value of the motorhome.  I don’t agree.

Say you buy additional overload springs to enhance the unit.  These are worthless without the installation.

Anyway, they are looking at getting the number higher for me.

Stay tuned to this channel.

Finalized things on the motorhome.
They raised their figure by about $435.
Still about $15k below what we had into it.
Need to FedEx the title to them tonight.
They will pick up the motorhome early next week.
Then we will have a wire to our bank account for the funds.
Not good, but closure.

Onward.

Got the gutters on the back of the house cleaned out this morning.  Nice strong ladder.  Which is good cause I’m scared of heights.

The wrecker came and picked up the motorhome earlier too.  Should see the money in our acct the next couple/few days.

Still waiting to hear the results on the house claim.  Supposed to hear on this later this week or early next week.  Then I start the contractor hunt.

Yup
Gut another one headed this way.
It’s way smaller and will travel across the state before getting here; losing a lot of its force.
Wind and rain.
We are expecting maybe 45-50 mph winds.  A far cry from the 150-155 mph winds from Ian.
We buttoned things up here earlier.
Should be fine.
