Mohawk River Pike
« on: Sep 09, 2022, 08:56 PM »
Wondering if any regulars fish the Mohawk?  I am wondering if any others notice a decline in Pike?  Have not caught one in like 3 years. Used to get them a bit but have not seen any lately and I hear the same from other anglers as well.

I wonder if DEC has any reports or documentation that shows the population of Pike and if it is going down? Really would like to know if there is a problem or just my experience . Anyone aware of something I can refer to?

I catch more eyes than smallies. Mostly trolling. Catch some small smallies by the bridges.

Smallies were super concentrated on a seasonal pattern that sometimes happens and sometimes doesnt.
