Great report but really disappointing that you fished my spot!  I clearly have it marked on the water...  I am also surprised those fish would pay attention to what you were presenting... I tell them time and time again, if they would just keep their mouth shut, they could stay out of your live well...  Glad you got out but now I'm gonna have to change spots...

Lol if it wasn't windy and I didn't have to do the changing of the guard I would of got some more today, that Lake X likes it to be sunny for them perch. I'm hoping to venture a little west this fall to find some, I might have to follow some of you lol.

I'm pretty sure I was at lake x last week. Windy and overcast. Fish were stacked in both deep basins bit I couldn't stay above them with the wind.

The 95th st area at the Cal River is pretty good from the boat or guys are getting them in the slips and at Navy Pier from the shore.

I always hear of a good perch bite on the Illinois side of lake michigan.  Do the perch not come in to Michigan city or portage like they do else where? Only time I hear of a perch bite at MC is spring/summer.

The Portage area is pretty much for the Summer bite. Lots of Perch around the   Chicago area now. I follow a site on FB  and it's called Chicago Perch Fishing. It will show catches from the slips and navy pier and pics from the boaters as well. It's one thing I surely missed after I moved to Ft. wayne from south burbs in Chicacgo.
