Hang On To Your Hats
« on: Feb 28, 2024, 01:20 PM »
Cold front is coming through. Dropped 6 * in 5 minutes. Wind went from 2 mph to over 20 in the same amount of time. Gonna be a wild one.
If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Bob,
Thanks for sending the brutal winds this way.
Lots of power outages and the crews can't go up in the bucket trucks due to gusts over 50

Can’t blame them. Drove bucket for many years. The OSHA limit is 20mph.

Lost power for about 24 hrs. Wed nite wasn't too bad but then thurs with all the wind and cold the house got a little cool.  Our heroes from national grid got us back on about 10 last nite. My hats off to those guys out in wind, rain, snow, cold for many hours.      A tree branch got tangled on the lines within sight of our house  It looked like the 4thof july    WOW!!!

     Toasty now

Glad you’re safe and warm. No place like home!
