Herring?

Anybody know how to catch herring? I was striper fishing today, but realized I wasn't catching because I had no herring.

You may wan't to try a rig with small gold hooks around #8 or a commercial rig called a sabaicki rig. you can find them at your better tackle shops .hope this helps ya . also heard they were running pretty good as of this weekend. we'll see what this rain does good luck.FRANK

try anything thats gold and good luck with those herring and the striper bye the way where are you striper fishing at maybe i can meet up with ya to catch the herring and the striper

Hey thanks guys. I think I'm going to make a sabiki rig with last seasons ice fishing flies and some gold hooks from the "trout magnets"
Im fishing the fairmont dam... I'll let you know the next time Im heading out
