Very Sad News for the MFF/Iceshanty Community
« on: Jun 04, 2012, 08:47 PM »
It is with great regret that I have to tell everybody this but LT (Don) passed away yesterday afternoon. Most of us know that he had a lengthy battle with leukemia. He had a seizure yesterday and there was nothing the Dr's could do for him. I just ask for everybody to keep his family in their prayers and thoughts. He was a mentor, father, husband and an overall great man. I learned a lot of things from him. We lost a great family member yesterday. I'm at a loss for words right now.

Rest in peace Don. The next fish caught on Boulder will be released in your honor. You are missed.

Wow! I am stunned right now. I am saddened by this news. Don was very instrumental in the development of the Wyoming site and I believe our first Mod. I am so sorry I never did get to meet him in person. He always supported (me), us with nothing but class. Tonight my heart is heavy, and I 'm filled with emotion. LT, Don if you can read this post God bless you sir. My sincere condolence to his family.

The fishing community has suffered a great loss. I am also saddened I never got to meet him in person. What a great guy with a great sense of humor and an upbeat personality. God bless you LT.

LT (Don) was a good friend and a fellow Moderator both here and on Iceshanty. he will be missed here at this computer monitor. here is a MFF & Iceshanty mini biography that I put together.LT joined Iceshanty on 12-17-2005. & MFF on 5-21-2007. his first Iceshanty post was on 12-18-2005 at 5:07pm.I first met him when he sent me a PM to complain about a trouble maker in the Wyoming thread.I took care of the problem and we were friends ever since.LT became a Moderator in 2008.  over the years I have helped him deal with problems in the Wyoming thread.when the thread became to big to handle, LT told Scott he needed help and he recommended Mountain Man to be a Mod. next he put in a good word for Wyofarmer.both of these guys have a legacy to follow but I know they are up to the challenge. the Wyoming thread is in good hands. When LT became a Global Moderator he patrolled the whole site like he did as a cop in New Orleans. Sadly , he passed away on June 3,2012. his final challenge was just to much to handle. RIP my friend. You will be missed.
