us the upper Niagara fishable or do you have to doge ice burgs ??

The ice as off last week in the river was pretty light. All depends how much western winds blow over the boom.
I would like to get out there soon as well.

Whereabouts on the island would be a good place to fish this time of year?? and for what ? Thanks :)

Ice boom removal begins today! Watch out!

Don't know if you guys have ever seen this, not exactly exciting to look at but it'll give you an idea of the ice situation:

I drive over the north and south Grand Island bridges twice a day, 5 days a week. The river has been pretty ice free for a while now, though the last couple of days I've seen a bit of a build up around the north end of the island (pretty big chunks at that) probably due to the insane wind we had the last couple of days.
