Neighborhood excitement
« on: Mar 31, 2022, 07:44 PM »
Around 4:30 my neighbor came pounding on my door. The house next door was on fire.

Melted the siding on my garage.

If not for a west wind…who knows where we’d be right now.

Managed to get my car down the street before the explosions started. Two melted cars, new camper, lawn mowers and who knows what else.
If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Yes, they were both home. Word is that he was deep frying French fries in the garage and somehow started the fire. They’re not our friendliest neighbors so we’ll probably never know what really happened. House is totaled.

At least 150 cars down and out of our cul de sac today.

Morbid curiosity I guess.

Maybe I should put out a sign…..$2.50 per car.

Holy crap Bob.
Really glad you and your wife didn't have your house go up too.
Sux for your neighbors, but they didn't get hurt.
Material things can always be replaced.
Still sux though.
I hope they had good insurance.

Thanks Mac. We’re all ok. A bit singed , but not burnt.

It’s been a weird 24 hrs. Must have been 200 lookers drive down the cul de sac today just to satisfy their morbid curiosity.

That is weird, if I had free time today, I would have rather been out fishing instead of "site" seeing.

As stated already, glad everyone is OK.
