Been playing around with this little dace pattern.

Might work.

Nice tie as always RG. I'm tying up some Tellicos tonight as I just looked in my  box and I only have one left, been using them since I was a teenager and they still catch fish.

Never seen one. Got a pic?

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

I just grabbed this off the Internet but this is it. Yellow floss, peacock (I wrap wire around the peacock fist before wrapping, makes it stronger) and partridge tail and legs, turkey wing tied on top over the floss pulled forward. Great producer for me over the years.  Don't leave home with just one.  ;D

Nice. I don't do much trout fishing, but it looks to be an interesting tie.

Bart, that fly reminds me of a bumble bee I use with great success for stream browns especially this time of year! ;D ;D

Lots of craft fur! The tails are interesting.

I'm wondering if they are going to cast like a sponge full of water.  There must be some technique to casting these heavier flies/fly line that im not aware of.  Its quite a lot of work!

They make a special wrap for making those bodies. I couldn’t get my 8wt to cast those flies very well at all, I just use them for trolling now for lake trout but have yet to get a bite, going to try it for pike or stripers next time.

Yup...you need to power up. They will take some determination, good technique and a stiff fly rod to get them out there.

You’ll figure it out.
