My father called me at work yesterday after a morning of salmon fishing on Lake Ontario. He told me they caught a big one.
"How big?" I ask.
"17 lbs." he replied
"thats not that big" I said.
"Not a salmon Steve, a BROWN!" He replied..........I dropped the phone....

Beautiful fish Gump. I've had a love affair with big browns since I was a kid. I'll take a big brown over a salmon or steelie any day!
Here's a pig I raised in my trout pond. Not as big and not as impressive as your dad's as mine came out of a 1/10th acre pond and was hand fed.
I love them when they are in their full spawning colors!

A brown of a lifetime for most guys for sure. The irony of the situation is that my fathers friend George (in pic) who brought the fish in actually caught an 18 lber. back in '88 during the spring ESLO derby.
Thanks for the compliments guys. I will pass them on to 'the crew'...

Forgot to add that they revived and successfully released the fish... :thumbup_smilie:
