17 lb. brown caught yesterday
« on: Jul 30, 2009, 08:43 PM »
My father called me at work yesterday after a morning of salmon fishing on Lake Ontario.  He told me they caught a big one.

 "How big?" I ask.

"17 lbs." he replied

"thats not that big"  I said.

"Not a salmon Steve, a BROWN!" He replied..........I dropped the phone....

"Why do you go on these trips with me , Ed?"

Awesome!
give a man a fish and he will eat for a day.  Teach a man to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

Beautiful fish Gump. I've had a love affair with big browns since I was a kid. I'll take a big brown over a salmon or steelie any day!

Here's a pig I raised in my trout pond. Not as big and not as impressive as your dad's as mine came out of a 1/10th acre pond and was hand fed.

I love them when they are in their full spawning colors!

I love the spots on this one!
