To be honest, even the regular life jacket I have leaves a lot of freedom of movement.  I stow it right next to my seat but I know I'd have zero time to put that thing on if that boat were to take on water.  In light of this, I will not be fishing the derby from my own boat if at all.
Live free or die trying.

It's a very sad story to hear this and my utmost condolences go to the family. This makes you realize how quick it can happen to anyone in a smaller boat and I have fished Winni a ton in a 12ft row boat before and know how harry it can get out there.

Boat safe and smart if you fish on bigger lakes with smaller boats. For people who do not like to wear lifejackets on smaller boats go and buy a nice vest style that inflats once it gets wet. They are coastgaurd approved and you don't even know you are wearing them.

The outdoors, a real man's playground!!!!!!
