Woodchip - I'm assuming you're using the link through this site and I received the same result you did.  A complete guess but it looks like it may have been some time since the link posted here and the State could have changed it.  I've copied a good link for you below.

I can find the link on line but when I hit on the mainefish surveys  link on fishfinder I get this(We're sorry, but the page you requested cannot be found

I would think Fish finder  helpers could up date the link. Its been like this for quite some time. It was nice to be able to use it on fish finder .it save time.

Try calling Joe Overlock, Maine Fish and Wildlife's Fisheries Mgt Supervisor in Augusta at 287-5022. He should be able to clarify what is going on with the Lake Survey Maps.
