I saw 4 does Saturday morning. It was pretty quiet around here.

Things should definitely get going very soon. I just looked at the temps. They keep lowering them.  :thumbup_smilie:

One down and only went about thirty yards w bow. So nice when you don’t have to track.

Great job Mcully!

I arrowed this fox last night. I had a close call with an 8 point but not a good shot angle.

Slow night last night. I had one nice 8 in heavy brush at 35 yds but no shot. That was all I saw until this morning when I found 6 does in my backyard munching apples under my tree!

Kid near us arrowed a doe late Wednesday and was unsure of shot so waited until first light. That’s what was left overnight. And my friend took over 50 yotes out last winter trapping. Can’t win the battle or the war.

That sucks Mcully. I had that happen 5 years ago. Sometimes your hands are tied. I let my doe this year sit overnight because I knew she needed time. I found her the next morning and she was not touched. I got very lucky.

Wow mcully, that was devoured.  I usually find the tail end eaten out but not the entire deer like that one.  That’s crazy.. I have a question concerning taking your deer out if the yotes started chewing on it. Would it be safe to process, or are there any disease concerns I should be aware of. So far, I have been lucky, but many other guys I know have had this decision to make.

Everything I read says to cut around it around you should be fine.

It's too bad for the youngster. That's the trouble around here. Too d**n many coyotes. Sadly, if you don't find the deer soon, chances are that's what you will find.

Does anyone here use the HuntFishNY app? Mine still shows last year's info even though I have a new license. Can't seem to update it.
