Water level is DOWN. Be careful of the shoals, Boneyard just inches under. Feathers, nuff said.

We determined during a trip to Tunk years ago that the lake got it's name from the sound your outboard makes hitting rocks.

Mine did that twice last night thanks to aging depth finder. According to Salty Shores,Reply-Lake Name Origins, post on Ice Shanty-2/22/12. Loggers from many years ago threw dry stale donuts into the lake. Remarking about the sound they made when they hit the water, it went ker - tunk, hence the name Tunk Lake. Generally Skunk Tunk sums it up.
