This is a picture of the world record german brown trout caught here on the Little Red River in Arkansas. It is 40 lbs. 4 oz. Caught by Rip Collins on May 5, 1992 and he was using 4 lb. test line.

Actually he didn't have a net at all. I know one of his friends and asked him if he used a net and he said not at all. He told me what lure he was using but I can't remember now. If anyone's interested I can find out.
