Is the launch there and is the park open that early?

Rg
If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Today was harvest day. We picked, processed, and froze 6 gallons of peppers and pickled 2 quarts.

Tomato sauce is cooking down.

And we started a bucket of sauerkraut. Busy day!   ;D

I may come over on Saturday and find a hotel for the night. There's a guy in West Monroe who has a lathe shield assembly to sell me. I can kill two birds. I was looking at the Oneida Lake inn in Sylvan beach. Anyone have a review? I hate crappy hotels. Spent too much time on the road I guess.

Haven't been to Sylvan Beach in 20 years.

So...if we're doing this, there's a few questions.
Who's gonna show up?
Where are we meeting?
What's the plan.....if there is one ;D

I all I know right now is I plan to fish with DD.

Sunday, the 24th is cool by me.
I don't know a plan.  "I know nothing!" (Sgt. Schultz., Hogan's Heroes)

IF:  I'm welcome on DD's boat and the boat's leaving at 6 am,
I'll be spending Saturday night somewhere there myself.
3 hrs. 8 mins. to Verona Beach S.P.
I'll have 2 spinning rods, a life vest, and a thermos. (Not sure about bait.)

That's all I know.  ;D

Best decent rooms I can find are at the Days Inn in Brewerton. A little pricy, but decent. If we have a plan I'll book a room. I have to visit West Monroe Saturday anyway.

So.......where are we at Guys?

No pressure, but I think we're to the point where DD needs to nail down the wheres, whens, and wants (bait, etc.), and we'll make it happen.   ;)

RG and anyone else looking for rooms on Saturday night, be aware Paul McCartny is playing at the Carrier Dome and most hotels, especially the "decent ones" are sold out or have much higher than normal rates.  The Days Inn Brewerton is pretty good, and will be close to where you want to be.  If not, try hotels nearer to Turning Stone or in Rome NY area, should be cheaper and more avaialable.   Anyone can PM me, my hotels are in the Liverpool, NY area, but I think we are pretty booked up as of right now.

Ton going on with work and the wedding. Marion is a safe launch with plenty of parking and cost's 10 bucks to the honor box. RG if you are staying in Brewerton get in touch with Rob Godfredo at Bartells and see what he has for minnows and what time you can get them. I'll see if he can meet you at 6-630, he just cut his hours back from 6 to 7. If not there is East lake Bait and Tackle in Sylvan Beach. You are more than welcome on my boat FM. Barring a stiff west wind The east end has more fish , but there have been decent reports from the west end if the east end is getting pounded. Nowhere to hide with a strong west blow on that end, the west end has more bays and islands.
