all she required for payment was a burger on the Weber, and a bloody mary. Fair trade I'd say.
Hey Edd there are labor laws lmao
Glad everyone had a good time

Time to get the house plants out doors and make the summer cover for the trough planter. Think I'm going to wait a few days to transplant the pickles, cukes, broccoli and sprouts. With the hot weather coming this week transplant could shock them too much.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Swapped out the winter cover for the summer cover on the trough planter.
Winter cover stores on the back of the planter

Summer cover is row cover. Keeps the bugs out  and lets in the rain and light. Everything grows well under that cover.

Put in a few rows of radishes using my adjustable planting stick.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

I'm not sure if it's the reward of growing it or just burned in my brain as I do it every year

Gardening, whether flowers or food is just plain good for the soul.

That we grow good things to eat is a super bonus.

Got tomatoes and peppers in today. One jalapeño plant needs some TLC. All and all, happy with how they cam out.

But a perfect day to plant, didn’t want to plant during the forecasted heat wave

I hear you there. I was in Lowes the other day to pick up a few necessities and had a chat with my boss. He said that the store was doing 3-4 times the business as predicted. That included vegetable plants. They were just gone!

When this thing is put to bed, there's going to be a run on grass seed to fill in all the wannabe gardener's plots.

Wow.
That rain we've had over the past few weeks and now the really warm temps kicked the lawn into overdrive.

Ain't that the truth! I had planned to go fishing today but   i looked at the lawn, it needs mowing and weed wacked! Can't let it go or I'll have a jungle on my hands. Having low energy reserves, fishing is put off til tomorrow...

On the good side... potatoes, corn, onions and zucchini are all coming up!
