Vermont lost a good one
« on: Jun 21, 2004, 08:43 AM »
Tom Evanoika who owned Tom's Bait and Tackle in Bomoseen VT passed away on Thursday June 17.  He organized the first Bomoseen Fishing Derby over thirty years ago.  He was a great resource for fishing information and will be missed by many.

This was also posted in the VT board, but I know more people from throughout New England knew Tom.

WOW!   my friend and i stopped in last winter on a sunday afternoon to chew the fat and he was showing us pics of some big fish all caught that week (right after the bob d classic).  a better guy to represent the sport would be hard to find!  hope the store goes on. he was full of big plans on redoing the store for the upcoming yr.   thats 2 guys in less than six months that i have known the other was down on the massabesic traffic circle near manchester.
the fishin pug is my favorite fishing partner!
favorite place the conneticut river from walpole to the thetford area.
