Title: Anyone open water fishing this weekend???

Posted this on Iceshaty as well thinking most are over there.  Anyways, I am. No safe ice in the capital district yet. Heading to the river for some Walleye and soooooooo hoping for a Pike or two....Maybe a Bass?

I'm hoping to get out sunday, not sure what the target species will be though.

I'll be on the river here for sure on Sunday. The walleye bite is just starting to pick up! Hoping we don't have a repeat of last year's weather.. I can normally get my little boat on the river most of the winter. Good Fishing, Sluggo (Chris)

Yup..  Took the boat on the canal..  Was a great afternoon but the fishing stunk.. We each got a Pickerel..   Buts its the latest we have tried in the boat..  It was frozen solid this time last year...  We should have brought the shotguns and joined the duck hunters... ;D

I was out in the kayak last friday and managed about 6-8 crappie, 3-4 perch, 1 bluegill and 1 fat pumpkinseed.  8)

Last friday was 20 degrees and windy, me, my kayak, flasher and ice fishing rod had some quite time together.  :laugh:
