There is a launch on Clam Steam road where Canal road ends, just downstream from the twin bridges. Colonie Mohawk Park also has a launch. Niskayuna at the train station has a hand launch.

Once again thank you. Plan on exploring and boating around that area next spring and summer.

The launch at the top of Flight Lock Road is nice.  Lots of parking but it is a 10 mile run up to Lock 7.

The launch at the Colonie Town Park is for car toppers only.  Cannot put a trailer in there anymore, it  all silt/ chestnuts now.

The launch at the top of Flight Lock Road is below the Twin Bridges of I-87 The Northway and below the Route 9 bridge.  The launch at Lock 7 is just above the Lock on the Niskayuna side.

The only good launch between lock 6 & 7 is at the end of flight rd. in Waterford. The launch in Colonie is blocked off at the road and I don't think there is parking anymore, at one time it was paved and you could park across the St. The launch at the old RR. station is for car tops and there is parking, you would be only a few miles from 7. The launch at the clam steam isn't much of a lunch just a place to put a car top in but there is parking for a few cars. The river between 6 & 7 is well marked but it is a ride

One more with the one we're after and we'll have two.
