Well, they were very creamy and delicious. Food coma by 2:00.

I’ll recover.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Pulled the rest of the Norland Reds this morning.

Nice harvest. About a 5 gallon bucket full from a 2 x 8’ bed.
I’m leaving the Norkohta Russets a while longer.

Beans have all sprouted

San Marzano tomatoes are coming along nicely. I have 7 plants total. Brussels sprouts on the far end.

The upside down tomatoes are producing. What a fun experiment.

Tomatoes and my lone pickle plant are doing great. Can’t believe how many pickles I’ve gotten off this one plant. I have to pick again tomorrow. That plant is a monster. Ive pruned it back several times so far. It wants to swallow up the tomato plants and my dahlias.

Planted more radishes in the trough. Spinach is starting to take off.

Cardinal Climbers are going wild and my Hostas came up nicely this year.

The season progresses!

Have to figure out whet I’m going to plant in the empty potato bed. I could do carrots but I’d have to fence it in to keep my resident rabbits out. It hasn’t done any damage so far, but I’m sure it would just love a nice carrot crop to destroy.

All my Asiatic Lillies have peaked. Deer ate the white ones that came out last. Just a  few pink ones left now. Watch closely for Red Lilly Leaf beetles. They’ll demolish your plants in short order. I sprayed 4 times this past year with malathion to get rid of them. Works very well and doesn’t harm the plants.

Prepped the open bed and planted more radishes, spinach and leaf lettuce.

I served an eviction notice on the resident bunny yesterday. Gave it a shower with the garden hose. It bolted out through the fencing. Amazing how it could squeeze through a 2”x4” opening. Then I proceeded to close off the bottom 2’ of the perimeter fencing with chicken wire.

Should block it out and keep my veggies safe from predation.....unless it figures out how to climb.

Not much but finally got some cherry tomatoes to ripen. Still nothing from the big tomatoes.

Throwing these into a tricolored noodle salad with cheddar cheese. Chicken on charcoal is the main dish

Beans came up fast, second and third crops of radishes are all sprouted, tomatoes are still green >:( Spinach is doing well too.

Cayenne peppers are coming on fast. Brussels sprouts are growing big but still no signs of sprouts. I’ve  never grown them before so I really don’t know what to expect. Have to do some research i guess.
