Hand poured plastics and jigs
« on: Jul 03, 2011, 06:05 PM »
Just thought I'd take the time to show some of the plastics I have made recently. Going to start pouring ice finesse plastics here soon as the water starts cooling down. Let me know what you guys think!

Very nice work!  Plastics are something I have been thinking of getting into once I get caught up with my other hobbies.  ::)  How expensive is it to get started, and are the molds difficult to find?

Thanks for sharing!

Its not something you can do to save money, as you will keep buying more molds and putting more money into it.. like an endless loop lol

you can find about everything you need at http://www.bearsbaits.com/ and http://www.basstackle.com/

bbk, have you tried adding some salt into the plastic?   my buddies have found that flour salt works best.  Helps those sticks balance a little better, plus its almost like a cheaper filler - plastisol is expensive!

I hate salt in plastics  >:( Salt is for popcorn not baits

Doesnt need it and I can get better colors without it, I've caught more on my hand made ones with no salt than factory with salt.
