Title: Shad Run Started?

According to the photo on the front page of the Springfield Republican, the shad run has started on the CT River.

Have any of you good folks been out yet?

How are the shad biting?

my buddy has been getting nice ones for almost 3 weeks but the cat is out of the bag.

The run has started, but they arent here in numbers quite yet.  This rain will help with the current, which was almost non-existent yesterday.  This past week has seen the usual spots filling up with guys fishing shoulder to shoulder on the shores.  The Chicopee launch is open but the Backgrounds launch is not.  It will pick up for sure in the next few weeks.
