St Joe river

Haven’t been in years but going to give it a go tomorrow for some steelhead at leeper park.Quite a few steelhead moving through.Hopefully the river is just right for drifting ,anyone else been steelheading

I havnt been in a couple years myself, but have been busting my rear getting the boat ready. Hoping to get out next weekend, boat or no boat. Good luck if you make it out!

Leeper park was on fire today,river level was perfect.I hooked up with 8 and landed three.The biggest was 12-15 lb.Most were hold overs but a few bright chrome ones mixed in

Hitting the river tomorrow morning,hope to repeat from my last outing.There should still be some fish moving around I hope!

Way to go!!! Haven't been for 2 2 seasons now. Fished Michigan the last time I was on the st joe.was a great day.

OMG!Steelhead run is in full swing.I landed 9 today and had 20 hook ups .Guys were still hooking up just before I left the river.I caught all of my fish on flys which I tie myself.Guys down from me were hooking fish with single egg

Just curious what the rains did to the river flow.It was absolutely perfect before the rain.Hope it didn’t mess it up to bad,planning on going wenesday this coming week

I was there Saturday for a bit, and it wasn’t bad. I didn’t catch much, but saw a few caught. Hoping to try again tuesday

can you post a pic of the rig your using percheyes?  i would like to try this one weekend.  are you wading or in a boat?

Pretty simple rig,just a three way swivel ,dropper weight and about a 24 inch leader line with what ever you use for a bait or lure.Main line is tied onto other end of three way swivel.
