Title: Sorry Guys, It's My Fault
Post by: rgfixit on Mar 27, 2015, 01:12 PM
Moved my boat into the garage and uncovered her. I fear I've jinxed us to ice until July .  :-\

My bad!

Snowing pretty good here this morning. Nice new coat of white. Thanks Bob.

I'm hitting a few special reg rivers tomorrow no matter what. I can't take it anymore.

Last I saw them they were still buried.  I get to trip over the small one's outboard every time I hit the garage though.

I don't think that's a bad thing. I sold my boat last summer. The longer the ice sticks around, the better. Now, excuse me, I'm going perch fishing! ;D

If I renewed in December it was $16.50. Yesterday it was $12.50.

When you retire, you'll look for the deals too ;D

Thank you Bob,  ...It would be nothing short of a miracle to be able to load up on gills and perch through a hole until May 1st.

Glad that's off my shoulders........  Figured it was my fault for leaving the Christmas lights out till after New Years.  They've been buried under snow since then.  Maybe didn't help last week that I put the big shovel away and summerized the snow blower to get to the boat to prep for the season.

Yeah....well.....I did a ribeye on the Weber for Dinner. Man what a beautiful day. Had a nice 2'hr hike, vacuumed out the boat....fired up the grill......popped the top on a Heineken....really felt/tasted good! The weather geniuses are saying 68 on Thursday. We'll see.

Nope!  I declare Spring.  I broke the ice today (pun intended). Got out for a few hours this afternoon and got the first one of 2015 and a nice one at that.  I had ice on my guides, I caught a tree, lost a few flies and reacquainted myself with some pricker bushes but it  was all worth it.

Just don't tell us you're opening your pool this week and we should be all right.

I lit 'em thru Mardi Gras.........  They were the only color for 40 miles around here this winter.  I figure they're mine, I like to see them in the snow, and I pay my electric bill.

Yea, but this guy never takes his down.
They been up 2-3 years and lights them all year.
I thought that maybe they were on a timer but sometimes he forgets to turn them on.

May have some special meaning or significance for him.  Some memory or hope being kept alive.  If they're not next to your bedroom window, just drive by and smile, we're all a bit nuts in our own way.
