Well, all the reports I've read say it wasn't possible without putting Montreal under water and killing shipping on the seaway.

"Just saying"

ottawa river wasn't flooded in the fall or winter  they chose to follow plan 2014 and ended up with the same results as 2017.....

One of the first things Oblio and Arrow noticed about the Pointless Forest was that all the leaves on all the trees had points, and all the trees had points. In fact, even the branches of all the trees pointed in different directions, which seemed a little strange for a pointless forest. […] Oblio told the Rock Man that they were banished and asked him whether or not this was the Pointless Forest.

The Rock Man said, “Say, babe, there ain’t nothing pointless about this gig. The thing is you see what you want to see and you hear what you want to hear. You dig? Did you ever see Paris?”

“No.”

“Did you ever see New Delhi?”

“No.”

“Well, that’s it. You see what you want to see and you hear what you want to hear.”

—Nilsson, The Point (1971)

Seems appropriate for a pointless conversation.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

I am right, if they had  lowered the water in the  fall and winter when they could have  a  foot and a half  we would not be in this  position now .... ever other res lets water out  in the fall and  winter  knowing the run off problems of  spring .....now   millions of dollars worth of  damages   lost business lost  tourism ...... RG you do know it's ok to question the  government  and  when  a plan doesn't work to adjust it so it does  instead of making excuses  while people loss their homes......

ent down to the river to fish but water came back up so I went to wrights landing and breitbeck park

water is higher then last time I was there  and  seen some interesting things

first is they added more pallets to the bridges to get to the docks

this is the back parking lot my finger must have gotten in the way but you can see the entire parking lot is under water

so walking around i noticed buck eyes  swimming where i use to park

then further  down i noticed small perch in the parking lot and roadway

and this is a reminder that  this flood is costing us more then docking our boats but alot of money

so far 300 million has been promised  by  Gov cuomo for  flood assistance

Weber and gardens are doing just fine. High and dry! Just the way I envisioned it and no one else has to pay for my decisions.

You be compassionate...open up your wallet.....give them all you've got. More power too you.

hey those business and homeowners on water front property  pay a lot more in taxes then we do   not to mention most of those homeowners are the very people that give us access to fishing  spots .... RG I really don't  understand why your  being the way you are but   have a beer   man and  relax. there is nothing personal  here  ......
