This is a new one for me,I'm sharing a used fly! I tied two of them to try lost one and fished with the other.i was impressed a simple fly to add to your box it's called a bream killer I tied it on a mustard C53S curved hook black chenille rubber legs and a squirrel tail wing big gills and brown trout loved it

Some indicator flies for tandem rigs

And a nymph pattern I’ve been playing with.

I was fishing the nymph under a white foam popper this morning. Hard to see white when the sun first hits the water. Fish didn’t have any problem seeing either. Got them on both.
If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Foam body stimulator.

I agree…so…I tied a few variations.

It’s now a permanent member of my fly box. Gotta try some smaller sizes. Maybe down to 16-18….if I can still see that small.

If you tie flies, you better not dwell on those things. Fortunately for me, my Bride doesn’t dwell on them either.

I was messing around with a few of Davie Mcphail’s  “Hedgehog” patterns. I’m not on the same fly tying planet as him, but they look ok. They ought to float anyway.

It’s funny, he’s tying flies for trout and salmon and I see “bluegill” written all over them.

Here’s a fly I bumped into in one of my books. The “Pass Lake Special”

This is the original pattern ( as best as I can tie it) Originally tied for trout it’s been modified in many configurations for bluegill.

Pretty simple tie and has limitless possibilities.
