Got out for a few hours last night.. weather was beautiful and the big girls were hungry.
Geeze...smile already! Looks like a mug shot😁Hit the docks for a while this morning. Lots of Rudd and a couple sunnies. This guy was my fishing companion for more than an hour. Just hung out on the dock next to me and waited for a handout.Pretty cool.Rg
Rudd are an invasive that are present in large numbers in Seneca and other lakes including the Great Lakes. Similar, but not to be confused with the native Golden Shiner.RuddGolden shinerRudd are native to the Baltic countries . I'm not really sure how they got here, but most likely they were brought over as a food source. I'll say one thing though, they're a ball on the flyrod.Rg
Right now is that time. I was wishing I had the fly rod with me that day.Oh well, back to the bullhead this afternoon.Rg
