OK this may be getting boring but here's some more lakers and browns we've been getting over the month of May.  We're going for some warmwater species this weekend so hopefully we'll have something else to show!

Been awhile but finally got some pics developed.  Fish are from Memorial day weekend.  Unfortunately we only got to fish Sunday and then got rained out but we had fun and brought some good ones home.

My wife finally got to go!

The best cooler of fish we've had in awhile:

great pictures, thanks for sharing, WTG.  ;D
Fishing isn't a matter of life or death, it's much more important than that!

I live with FEAR everyday, and sometimes she lets me go fishing!

TFB-Unfortunately I've only done limited fishing around the Ft. Collins/Loveland area.  So many spots to hit around here that I never found the time.  I'm also finishing up a Ph.D. in a month and moving back to Iowa.  I guess that's what vacations are for!

Slipbob-I have some more scenery pics.  I'll see if I can't dig them out.

Got out for some perch fishing the last couple days and it was a blast.  We drift fished and caught fish in 10-27 feet of water incuding some nice ones.  Pics from Saturday:
Big ones of the day 11.5 and 12"

Matt with the take:

Pics from Sunday: a nice double:

Marked some fish up off the bottom so my wife reels in a bit and got this!  A blast on ultralight gear

Sunday's take:

What a great weekend!

Man great fish. It looks like you have some awesome lakes out there. That perch in the 2nd pic, the one flopping its tail looks like a brute. Way to go on the nice take.
Can't catch a fish without a line in the water....

This lake is really great to fish-it gets a fair amount of pressure for trout but we hardly ever see anyone fishing for perch.  Lot's of food in there for them to eat too.  Almost every one I cleaned was packed with crayfish and minnows.  The fillet's that come off of them are incredible.  The flopping fish is the 12" er I'm holding in the first pic.  I saw a 13" er come out of there last winter.  We're hoping one of these days we'll see a 14 or 15, but we may have to keep dreaming.  Thanks

Hey were you fishing down by the dam. I hear that near the dam is excellent fishing ;D. I like to use weight forward spinners tipped with minnows. Man keep up the good work.

Here's some scenery and fish pics from a trip we look to Yellowstone at the end of August last year.  We chartered a boat to take us out on Yellowstone Lake for a couple hours to fish for the native Cutthoats.  What a beautiful day it was and despite our guide telling us fishing had been slow we caught six in two hours and lost a couple more which turned out to be a stellar trip.  All cutthroats had to be immediately released back into the water and handled as little as possible.  The guide would net the fish, grab the hook with pliars and pause for a quick picture snap and would essentially fllip the fish off the hook and back into the water with the pliars.  We were trolling daredevils on leadcore about 40 feet down in anywhere from 90 to 180 feet of water.  If anyone gets a chance to do this I would highly recommend it.
